This was my first issue of Substack Reads, and I'm grateful especially for the introduction to Robert C. Gilbert. I just shared on Facebook his definitive and beautifully written vignette about the inimitable singer Nancy Wilson, accompanied by clips so readers can admire her unique voice.
My granddaughter in law wrote A Day In The Life of an Unmediated Schizophrenic. London Campbell. She is really able to describe terror. It’s on kindle.
I relate so much to “The last wave of summer.” Those types of memories are so cherished. Perhaps even more cherished though, is seeing my children making similar ones.
