When food is on the table, we all want our whims indulged…we all have a 2 year old inside us both curious and wary of what might next tickle our palates or comfort our pangs-it’s just soothing to have a mama or a trusted serve up what we need
Loved this edition – Madison Huizinga’s piece in particular really stuck with me: the idea of time as something thick, elastic, and hard to hold.
That feeling is part of what inspired Slow AI, a weekly prompt-led Substack I just launched to explore slower, more reflective ways of using generative AI.
I highly recommend this post from a new substack called 'Wild Words for Grief'. I find Corry Chaplin’s writing, although coming thru the lens of grief, to be authentic, rich and calming. Incredibly helpful and inspiring in my own day to day journey.
Why is cable news and others calling this bill big and beautiful? Didn’t they ever read Orwell’s 1984? This is a cruel and inhumane bill designed to hurt people created by a fascist regime.

Presumably the opening headline is designed to force you to read every article until you find out to what and to whom it is referring?

Each Tuesday, I share one simple prompt – a way to notice, remember, or create with AI that prioritises attention and care over output. The first post is live now, if you’re curious: https://theslowai.substack.com/p/teach-it-something-it-cannot-know
Would love to be considered for 'recently launched' – and always open to thoughts from this thoughtful corner of Substack.
In poor taste probably to hawk my own work, but I do think there might be something here that could appeal to readers! https://open.substack.com/pub/francescam/p/this-week-the-heat?r=fcgx&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=false

Gandalf for President aged better than most campaign slogans.
Say what you want about elves, but they didn’t send anyone to Vietnam.
📌 The Shire wasn’t fantasy. It was the goal.
