I so appreciate that you include art in the substack. Sometimes words say too much and it is refreshing to relax and allow the imagination to be inspired. Thank you.
The NFL lost me watching Philadelphia Eagles win. They allowed the Commander of division attend the game. I take the knee with Colin Kaepernick. I wonder if President Musk is attending.
Re Apple Intelligence. It hardly as intrusive as she claims as it is an opt-in feature. Don’t want it there? Just don’t turn it on. I don’t have it enabled. I like AT&T showing my messages as text as that’s convenient when in situations when hearing them isn’t possible. (The new iPhones lack a headphone jack and I don’t listen to either music or audiobooks when out of the flat.)
But you already knew there was a difference in the language when you hastily changed your American English spelling from tire to tyre. So leaving it there 🙄
Sports are absolutely romantic. It’s hard not to fall in love with the way crowds of people sing and cheer in stadiums around the world. Maybe you grew up watching a specific team or it was passed down to you by your family, but there’s a different graph to be made for any game that’s played under the lights
Hey everyone. I wanted to recommend my recent post “Paranormal Phenomena,” an anthology of paranormal experiences I collected from 40 people, including Sheila Heti, Ottessa Moshfegh, Sherman Alexie, Walter Kirn, and myself. Thank you for your time and consideration.

People who don't turn off auto correct shouldn't have a phone
Autocorrect can wreck adults and children's ability to spell. A few errors is a small price to pay to prevent this
This is only a problem is you only ever write on your phone. Which is probably the bigger problem.

As a Minnesota Vikings Fan, I must be one of the most romantic men on the planet.
Weekender makes my weekend!
Thanks for featuring me! Shoutout to sports fans, you beautiful maniacs.
My son-in-law has a toxic relationship with the Miami Dolphins…
Yep, hence, why I broke up with the Mets a long time ago. I was tired of being yanked around and feeling unappreciated.

Is a flat a tire with no air?
It’s another name for an apartment
Why would you call an apartment a flat tire?
You wouldn’t, ever, it’s British English.
But you already knew there was a difference in the language when you hastily changed your American English spelling from tire to tyre. So leaving it there 🙄
lol. You got me…
Can you explain this comment please.
I’m sorry . Tyre

🎞️ I wrote about what it means for a film festival to be political, as seen with two Palestinian films last year at Berlinale and Cannes: https://open.substack.com/pub/stanleynolan/p/from-camps-to-cannes-when-palestinian

You obviously haven’t heard what English soccer fans chant. Or at before do before games are played before empty stadiums.

Recommended for next edition: https://addthistoyouritinerary.substack.com/p/beyond-the-crowds-rethinking-travel. It's about overtourism. I'm part of it as well. My post ended up being an exploration of the complexities of modern tourism.
