On AI writing: I think it’s the same as so many industries, but I wonder if something being “human made” will be seen as a mark of quality/prestige, the same way that luxury fashion houses can charge more because of the heritage, story, and craftsmanship. Those luxury houses — which charge more due to their branding — exist at the same time as so many fast fashion companies. Maybe we’ll have a future where AI churns out most of what people read (the equivalent of fast fashion designing most of what people wear), but there will still be a healthy market for human writing (even if it’s treated as a luxury).
I did that when I turned 40, my question was: who am I, in my world of values… and your question was my answer… and it was just a start… I started valuing things that made me happy or at least were in my interest. and it lead to… 😊

The socialists on the march to communists are here to denounce our culture, our values and our laws. They have been here since WWI hiding in the Universities. Being concerned about the weeds and not seeing, acknowledging the root reality will only allow these dark streams to enter man more fully as they have contuined to do so for decades.

This really hit home and I love it. Building products for more than 30 years has taught me that it is rarely the big problems that keep me awake. It’s the small ones I know I haven’t solved yet. A packaging detail. A customer experience. A feature that is 95 percent there but not quite right.
Those little things have a way of following you until you face them.
I’ve learned not to ignore them. I write them down, test them, solve them one by one, and keep moving. Progress is almost never one giant breakthrough. It’s hundreds of small decisions made correctly over time.

"Selling your personality, losing your personality by selling it" is such a brutal sentence because it's true. Somewhere along the way, authenticity became another performance metric.
Rad, man. I love how honest Julia is about wanting recognition and calling it out as identity marketing rather than dressing it up as ambition. Most of us carry that same itch, we just don't have the guts to write it down that plainly.
The strongest thread running through this Weekender is agency—deciding what matters, listening to what the body is telling us, controlling what we can, and preserving human judgment in creative work. That last point especially resonates in public history: tools can assist the process, but they cannot decide what a community should remember or why it matters.
